Filter capacitor comment

dear all,

I want to ask Jensen filter capacitor (10000uf or above) 's performance.
How does it compare with BHC?
Because I heard many good review on BHC.

We like Jensen more than BHC, but it take time to "boil". Take at least 100 hrs

Agree with what Admin said.

Changed my caps inside the pre-amp to Jensen. Now ran in for around 50 hours ... still the bass is a bit behind and the sound is not at all clear.

The good thing is, it is getting better and better throughout these few days.

found another brand BC component. The ripple current is about 30% more compare with BHC. ie. Jensen < BHC < BC component.
But it is really expensive >$300 for 15000uf.

If your budget is ok, then use 10 pcs pf 1000uF in parrarel much more better than a single pcs of 10000uF.

It really depend on your taste, Jensen is very sweet cap but i feel it is too soft for me (vocal lover will like it). Instrument lover may not like it....

I like blackgate on the power supply and jense on 交連 and blackgate Bi-polar on bypass caps.

on pwer supply, my 1st choice is also balckgate 2nd choice is Philips/BC. for by-pass i prefer to use film cap.
