Just a bid confusing about
"The 72V wires only connect at the SOURCE side."

You mean that the source is the battery source not the source end of the input plug?
In other words, that's the "Transparent one " and the drain wire were connected to the battery + and - only and isolated from any of the conductive parts ? right ?
