Constructing my 300B / 砌部300B

I always wanted to DIY a 300B .....

No time, No money and hard to get a pair of decent 300B tubes.

With the release of the new re-issue Chinese 4300B tubes, I finally make up my mind to try DIY one 300B for myself.

This is actually the busy season; lots of exam scripts to mark and lots of post exam activities to do. Anyway, life is a mess without leisure. I am in no hurry, so I will do it step by step.

夢想了好耐砌一部300B, 無奈人又老錢又無 ...

加上買一對好的西電300B重貴過砌部機 .... 結果一路都係得個"恨"字 ....

最近桂光重做4300B, 自己聽過, 發覺這個價錢實在很大眾化, 於是決心開功 ... 試佢一試.

其實這陣子都幾忙, 只好忙裡偷閒, 一邊改吓卷, 一邊砌吓機. 唔覺唔覺, 改完晒卷, 都砌了 1/4 部機.

Tango輸出牛用30W那隻會好很多呢！
而電壓只得350是有些不足，但還可以。

我都知30W會好d, 不過無 $$$$, 無計啦 .... :

這部機都是試驗性. 遲d有錢再轉行 Mono Blocks

忙了一天, 可以偷雞半日, 又番來砌吓機. 不過玩一陣都覺幾累. 只因前晚趕預備個 presentation, 結果唔夠瞓 ....

Been busy whole Monday and half day of Tues. Took a half day break and continue my work on the 300B. Unfortunately, not able to do much as really exhausted the night before, preparing for the presentation ... sigh

Finally have it done !!  :

終於砌完了. 哈哈, 好開心 ..... 有歌聽了.

After trying using a hum port to cut down the hum noise, I finally switch to DC filament.

First impression --- seems something is missing (and I am not talking about the hum). It looks like the Contrast is a bit less than before.

玩完 hum port 之後, 最終都係要試埋 DC 點燈. 好靜 ... 但好似比對少了少少. 試真 d 先.
