After 2 months of time, my DAC finally finished. I've to thanks KK sir and cat sir to help me finish this project as I've very limited DIY experience.
Although this is the 1st, maybe the last time DIY project in the coming few years, I really enjoy the process of making it (sourcing component, testing the effect of different OPA and caps, trouble shooting etc.)
I've compared the quality of 1955Pro DAC with market $10K DAC (Benchmark, Stello etc.) and found that my DAC can win them easily in terms of details, natural , bass and (音牆闊度)and have huge improvement compared with using my modded Cambridge 640C only.
My DAC components:
OPA >> 627BP x 4, AD797 x 2, 2107AP x 2
Transformer >> England transformer x 3 (箭豬)
Core cap >> 4700uf-6800uf (BHC), 100uf x 8 (Blackgate)
47uf - 1000uf (Nichicon KZ), 47uf in digital (Sanyo OS Con)
0.01-0.1uf (Wima MKS,MKP)
4.7uf x 2 Output cap (Auricap)
0.01uf SPDIF in, 4700P cap (双信银云母)
Input source: Coax,Optical,Balance,USB
Output source: RCA,Balance
My 2CH Hi-fi components:
Audiolab 8000S(moded), Cambridge 640C (moded), Linn Katan (Bookshelf), MK KX-12 Sub-woofer (crossover set at 80hz)
Enjoy DIY!!
