8:40AM to 9:00AM --> Breakfast (under Hififever)

9:00AM to 2:00PM --> CDM+CDPRO2 + DAC
Full support on CD + DAC classmate

2:15PM (Clear and reserve the space for DAC classmate, CD classmate can stay and check have enough seat or not).

2:30PM - 10:30
DAC classmate lesson 2. Assemble the DAC from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

After 2:30PM, Limited support on CD Transport classmate.

You can come to take or wait my demo of Sampling Rate converter.
16Bits/44.1KHz input --> Upsampling --> IIS to DAC.

If your power supply is fully tested by me, and there are no major mistake (like reverse soldering of CAP, Op-amp socket), the DAC atleast have chance 90% sure 1 shot install pass.

If you are using your own components, please make sure it is working condition is good. If any mistake was found, I will stop immediately and you may need to change it to default components, depends on time, may not have enough time to help you trouble shoot of your own components.

I think most of the people will be finish before 5:00PM (if you come at 11:00AM)

Hi KK,
I finished the transport and brought home, tested and have following questions :

- since the "disc magnetic catch" has to be pushed lower, pls remind other members the decor platform has to be lower too... so not contact with the disc

- it cannot work with my dac at home, I will bring back to chk

- cannot do "repeat" mode and no display, so are the "shuffle' n "program"

- mine is  終極版, how to set these (可選True16/24 bits out, 44.1Khz, 48kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, 192kHz output)..??

- how to set this ..((用家可用這高階輸出接至閣下已有的192khZ的 DAC 如 AV Amp, Wadia etc. 很多用家封印了具192khZ 的解碼能力多時))..??

- how to set this (( 亦可一試44.1/16 Re-clock 輸出))..??

Pls advice me what to do next for my dac, because I don't know it match with me cdp or not. (I can't find it is 44.1kHz or what, my cdp is CEC TL-51XR) Can U check that for me. TKS!

You need to do the FRONT PANEL job (or at this SAT). Also, you need to soldering the output capaitor or test diff value for diff taste.
A Serveral upgrade can be do, but most components are already soldering on the board, the most possible upgrade is Output RELAY.

If your DAC is fully installed components (without 9 pcs of LM1117 LDO), I believe that you can complete within 4 hour.

15 min for me to test your board, PSU section.
30 min for you to soldering back of 9 pcs LM1117. And 5 pcs of inductors.
15 min for me to test the LDO output.
60 min for you to drill and install the chassics.
15 min for soldering the front panel.
30 min for install the LCD panel in the front chassics.
10 min for DC offset adjustment in HDAM output section.
30 min for wiring (L/R. SPDIF, AC Mains)
10 min for final measurement.

Total 215 minutes, no need too long, relax...

Your CDP must be 44.1KHz / 16bits SPDIF standard format.

For CDP label as 24/192

It means
1) It is using 24/192 DAC. OR
2) It have SRC inside, upsampling to 192/24 then feed into DAC.

I shall come to finish my CDM9 & replace a new relay around 2:30 p.m. on 11/10/2008.

After 2:30pm, it should be DAC class.

If seat available, you can stay but take note I will only have limited support on CD transport. DAC is the major.

You can add in the CDP or in DAC.

For CD, you can output 16,18,20,24 bits, 44.1, 48, 64, 88.2, 96, 128, 176.4, 192 KHz sampling rate.

For DAC, same as CD setting.

Suggest adding both.

It will available at early DEC.

Completed all soldering/testing PSU/drilling/mounting socket/wiring/measurement,  only waiting your USB module to complete my DAC = (in-completed user).

Sound Testing result:  
Very detail, sweet, great improvement (30%+) compared with my moded 640C using LM4562 OPA. Although the 1955 pro DAC only using default OPA $1/pc, if changed real OPA627BP, the performance will be ++++++??

Question:
1) in the SPDIF in circuit, there are 2 slot for 0.01uf cap, from the theory side, any difference by using "雲母" (default) and film cap?

We assume all of the people is using real components.  Fake components may be let your system unstable or damange your system.

// It is a additional module, so there are no any mounting hole on this module. You can seperate to install on the chassics by connecting the IIS (not over 4 inch length) is recommened.
