Dear KK,

I tried to start the kit last night as usual from resistors first. But after measuring their values and I have following queries which would like to have your advice before going on to the other components.

Resistor type   Value    Pcs     Servo       Clock       Motor    MCU   Ttl    Diff
---------------   --------   ----  ------------  ---------    -------   ------  ----   ----
Blue Dale       357R       3    R102+R103  R302         --         R6     4      1
                      465R       1        ----          R309        --         --       1      0
                      750R       1    R202-3          --            --         --      2       1

Brown Dale     118R       4     R101          R301       R201      R7     4      0

                       100R      1       --     R310 (Coaxial)    --        --
                                                     R309 (XLR)         --        --      2     1

Colour coded    2R        2      CAN NOT FOUND IN THE LIST           0      2

Remarks :-  1)  R102 + R103 = 2 resistors in these 2 locations.
                  2)  R202-3 = Which location, R202 or R203 ?
                  3)  118R is tobe used in 121R location, right ?
                  4)  100R is tobe used in 115R locations ?
                  5)  Should we only have both XLR & Coaxial or just anyone ?

Awaiting your adv

Re: CD Pro 2 Kit

Silva,

I am explain a detail in class but you leave early, we finish at 8:00pm, you miss alot of important information.  :shock:  :shock:  :shock:

I am not understand your meaning at follow, except Remark :1-5.

I tried to start the kit last night as usual from resistors first. But after measuring their values and I have following queries which would like to have your advice before going on to the other components.

Resistor type   Value    Pcs     Servo       Clock       Motor    MCU   Ttl    Diff

1)  R102 + R103 = 2 resistors in these 2 locations.
Please see the link here

2)  R202-3 = Which location, R202 or R203 ?
Same as Ans 1.

3)  118R is tobe used in 121R location, right ?
YES

4)  100R is tobe used in 115R locations ?
YES

5)  Should we only have both XLR & Coaxial or just anyone ?
Either one.

Dear KK,

Understood.  How about the 2 x 2R resistors which I can not found in the list ?

Can you tell me the " Information " I missed during my absence due to company matters !!

Tks.

Silva,

What is  2 x 2R resistors ?

8月30日 (六) 2:30pm-7:00pm

For the missing information, it major cover:
1. Mechanical design
2. Upgrade tips
3. Installation tips
4. Other DIY topics.
5. What happen at the last CDM9 course, problem analysis, solving method.

Sorry, cannot re-arrange again.

KK.

Dear KK,

The C4 in the MCU section is supplied with a Rubycon 3300uF/16V capacitor. Is it necessary to upgrade to Nichicon grade capacitor or this part given is good enough ?

Silvia,

This is for MCU, LCD, LED (Circle), power supply.

MCU + LCD --> 270mA
LED --> 20mA typical.

300mA max is OK.

What is need by smoothing capacitor for 10% ripple,
C = (5 * Io) / (Vs x F)
Where:
C  = smoothing capacitance in farads (F)
Io  = output current from the supply in amps (A)
Vs = supply voltage in volts (V), this is the peak value of the unsmoothed DC
f    = frequency of the AC supply in hertz (Hz), 50Hz in the HK

Subsitute :
C = (5 * 0.3) / (9.33 * 50)
C = 3215uF. therefore choose 3300uF.

This is why I choose for 3300uF. Everything should have thoery and calculation support.

For the digital application, you can choose Rubycon MBZ series or Sanyo OS-CON for computer power supply.

Those components can be supplied by hififever if you need.

Any problem, please let me know.

Dear KK,

Thank you for your prompt and succinct reply.

I have no doubt about the value of the capacitor used in this section.
I just want to know if this capacitor is upgraded to a better quality capacitor, can the performance in this section / overall performance be improved or not ?

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Silva,

For MCU use, try to use LOW ESR is better.

Dear KK,

So that means I can use the " Rubycon Capacitor " as supplied in the ultimate upgrade kit, right ?

Thank you.

Any 3300uF / 16V can be use.

From the KIT, I supply Rubycon YK series.
