Dear Accphoto,

Do I have the wires and everything connected right? Please help. Many thanks. I don't need to connect the 9 pin of the 12AX7, right?

AND most importantly, how do I Ground (yellow green wire) the output section? Should I change the power connector to a FIVE pins one instead of the current Four pins (310 V AC + 13 V AC now)?

The heater wire is better to connect at the bottom, this will avoid some heater noise pick up by the component. The negative of the heater should also be connected to the gound to avoid hum.

Dear Accphoto,

Sorry to bother you on Sunday.

I connected the power last night for a test (not yet got your advice by that time). TERRIBLE is the word!

The "DEEEEEE" noise is so loud that it is unbearable. It is not a small DEEE noise but it is really huge ... almost to the normal hearing level.

What could have gone wrong.

Dee dee sound is simple, you forget to connect the -12.6V to earth or gound.

I connected the -12.6V to ground. And I think this PCB needs separate ground for each channel. I used two screws to connect the ground to the chasis.
