改 CD33 的鐘 / Changing CD33's Clock

各位兄弟，忙裡偷閒來試吓改CD33個鐘．

先看看買回來的套裝配件．

完成品．

一個唔認識電子的傻佬造出來的東西唔知有無說服力 ....

why need pcb ? change clock not only replace "tcxo-230" is ok.

今日又做到趴街, 結果又無得再續下文. 只有星期一再整埋落去.

Been working like a dog today. All modification came to a halt again. Will resume on Monday (have my fingers crossed).

呢隻clock麻麻地，不過以新手去製作已算很不錯了，努力吧！

Better call me "Fat Cat" or "Alfcat" .... Kitty is a bit "feminine". 話晒我都係 "佬" ....貓公一隻 .....  唔想太乸 ... 請見諒.

For the plastic mounts, you can go to Golden (middle floor). Those shops selling IDE cables, etc. should have these plugs / mounts.

If they don't have it anymore, go to NEW Golden Computer Centre. There are some Second Hand shops there. They should have these mounts but of course "second hand" type.

I am also asking a company if they have this mount for you. Give them a day or two to reply (through email). Will post you another message later.

尋日做咗成朝, 食午飯時拉咗亞秋官陪我行旺角 .... 結果買了 Antique Sound Lab AV 25 Mono Block 後級, 用 EL34 或 6L6. 跟隨上 seminar, 食完晚飯去了同事家幫佢整電腦 .... 返到屋企成 11 點, 無力再玩 ....

Totally exhausted. Sorry fellows, it is easier for me to type in English.

I finally set the clock PCB right today. After removing the old clock, I connect the Date Line just like Viewer did and got the power from the main PCB of the CD 33 at 9V.

However, when I power on, the machine gives "tic .. tic" sound and no reaction at all. I was so scarced that I turned it off immediately. I tried one more time and the result is the same.

Sorry fellows, without an expert by my side, I finally re-arrange thing back to its original shape. Luckily, my CD 33 still works. Thank God about that.

I think I won't touch the clock again until I have a chance to see KK Sir and ask his expert advice on this first.

I think you connected the 100v line .so you measure high voltage.

the 9v is near to top  side of the square area of the photo.

Yes, I used this one. There are 5 holes. Bottom ones says 100V (which I measured only +38V using my meter).
Second one is BLANK.
Third is +38V (measured with my meter) and the Fourth, Fifth are Ground.

Also, on my PCB where the original clock is, there are only 4 pins which form a SQURE. But the new clock is RECTANGULAR. How can I fit the new clock in the CD 33 PCB if I omit the "clock kit pcb"?

I will borrow a camera and take some photos. I sold my camera some months ago. The past photos were taken by my office camera.

I tried BOTH Grey wire. I put the RED on the grey wire and the black on the metal body of the CD33 ... all readings give 3.4V only

Is there something wrong?

又如何將兩個 3.4 Volt 加埋做 ~ 7Volt? PCB 兩條線, 咁條GND去邊呢?

何將兩個+- 3.4 Volt 加埋做+-7Volt 接去 PCB ,因為這個CLOCK 是用+-入電 ,條
GND就是PCB 正方形OUTUP 圓形是訊号OUTUP接去ORIGINAL CLOCK 位 OF PCB OF CD-33  在圖中黃色格GND ,綠色格便是訊號OUTUP.(我也記不起黃色或綠色是OUTUP)
如果接錯不要緊祗要CHANGE 位)
你是否已CHECK THE READING OF 電阻 OF CLOCK'S PCB.

換鐘終於完成了. 但因為已三更半夜, 未能將音量較至正常高度. 暫時不能說有幾好. 不過我感覺上唔係太大的差距, 可能因為我部機唔夠正.

I got the power from another source of the CD 33 PCB. As it is already very late, I will post the photos tomorrow afternoon after visiting my ex-teacher.

Anyway, many thanks for ALL the help you have offered and sorry for all those disturbing calls I made to you.

你個C|ock放得太遠,應盡可能放近舊C|ock.條線去C|ock盡可能短及靚.另外C|ock取電位在數碼部份.

你部機摩前有無做boby check確定全頻0K才摩.簡單方法放隻20Hz - 20KHz訊號CD播放順便知道自己套HiFi有幾多斤両.

今日飲多左,講得太多.下次隔離牛.

I am having my first week of holiday, enjoying CD music and doing some shopping for myself.

Just wonder whether Hi Fi Fever can have a class for Electronics 白痴 like me. I really want to learn what are the uses of resistors, capacitors, relays, transistors, vacuum tubes and their classifications. Not to mention HOW to read circuit diagrams ...

Looks like I am greedy but I think Hi Fi Fever had a class like this last year. I "think" some parents may be interested in taking their kids with them for class like this.

We will wait for your reply on the CD checkup.
