I have suggection to you on your cdp photo enclosed which point out e-cap.
I changed it to Black Gate Stand e-cap. the sound have improved

It you changed it to Black Gate Non-polar e-cap same uf same valtage, that the sound will be more improved. but the costs will be higher than balck gate standard e-cap more.

Vishay is belong Philip now.
Black Gate is the best e-cap in the world, go-ahead to change Black gate even standard serise should be better that vishay te serise. Just the price is higher that others. Same as Jensen and M-cap.

I do't understand that if you want warm and sweet sound,why you used M-cap. Its sound is face to clear ,  bass not the best. In my view I will prefer use Jensen pure copper foil cap.

I have used SCR Solen and  ERO MKP 1845
SCR solen quit balance.
ERO MKP 1845 bass ,high notes are little  clear than solen SCR
old solen don't use.
ERO MKP 1845 have green and blue colour. Blue is better than green on high notes (smooth)
Your present CDP is using SCR SOLEN or SOLEN ???????
I thing the solen caps in your cpd not real good.

refer to you cpd photo, the outup cap changed e-cap Elna slim grade.
Why? flim cap alway better than e-cap very much.
I really don't understand.
I have suggection to you:

replace the all the caps to SCR SOLEN low cost and high gain.
If you want the high notes better. can add Wima Black Box 0.01uf/400v or 0.1uf/400v on SCR Solen. the result will give you suprise.
If you use ERO MKP 1845 cap no need to add other cap on it.
You cdp's caps are old solen.
just my view.   low costs high gain.

opa 2604 is better that 5532 (JRC) (Japan radio company) very much.

opa 2604 all ranges are better. sound like tube.

price 2604 is HK$25 to HK$30 second hand
        5532 is HK$5 brand new.

You say have noise when you on th cdp, it may the the problem on black colour Boxs which close to RCA outop. it may fixed not well or burn.

upgrade may replace all flim caps to ERO MKP 1845 claer sound and lower costs. result quit good.
if no costs problem you may replace m-cap (Supreme silive iol), muiltcap (RTX), jensen (copper foil) and Muscia cap. subject your tasts.
costs around HK$600 to HK$1000.

opa can changed to 2604, lt1057, opa2134, opa 2111, ad827, dy2000 pastic package
cost around between HK$25 to HK$100 each.

ROE famous on ecap.
ERO famous on film cap. (GREEN COLOUR and BULE COLOUR)

I suggest use at least over 20% of your country's voltage.
I agreed superwhite said his resistor (ceramic resistor) to KIWAME Carbon
2W is good and cheap.
Diy not = high costs. just what sound you want base on costs.
so many brand of caps. you can try each by each. just diy fun.

have green and blue, same of ERO MKP 1845 cap. beacuse ERO is belong Vishay BHC = philip compamy.

I have one dac, it use some on ditigal part. I think it is suitable on digital part.

I read it over, I think can replace flim cap to 10u/f with 0.1uf.
E.g ero MKT 10uf, ero MKT 0.1uf green colour. good sound lower costs. I used it in my cheap DAC china Lite DAC-AH Modificed. Very good sound for all range
      Plilip e-cap 100uf (blue colour) with 0.1uf flim cap (M-cap) good sound high costs. This recomment by expert in hk.
      SCR solen 10uf with wima black 0.1uf lower costs quit good sound or         0.1uf audio cap (very expenvise)  very good sound (golden )  This recomment by china expert and oversea.
Now it is used elna slim e-cap is ok la..... or  you can add 0.1uf flim cap for high notes.

becare and check the curisit first.

Some expert sd elna cannot parallel with Wima cap.
the sound will become to bright.
I also test it in my diy pockect amp,  that is correct, too bright, focus not good.

If you want parallel with enla e-cap, try Multi-cap RTX, PPFXS serise,music cap cost around hk$750-100 each.

orERO, RIFA and SPRAGUE VITAMINQ flim cap both good.

I think modifity this part HK$200 is ok!!!!!!!!!  good sound result (resonable).

other cap you can try as:
1. Janzten MKP 0.1/uf just HK$12 each made by Denmark.
2. Taiwan UCC flim cap SPP type 0.1uf/630v just around HK$12.00 each,
    70%-80% = MultiCap. I also use it in my cheap DAC result is good.

The 0.1/uf look like can fix on "marked B" but be sure the + - of silim e-cap at the back of PCB broad.

0.1/fu in my view is better than small uf. because in my experience, 0.01/uf
will made the sound not match very well.

Roe e-cap golden colour is sweet and warm sound suitable for tube cdp.
same as Ero you say.
mallory (black colour) more powerful good for bass.  siemens GPF  sweet and warm sound if made in china not good.  
So I will try Roe Golden colour.

You say both resistors are very hot, this is show that the W of it will not matched. You can try 5w or  measure the resistor by meter.
That is important, because if it is over load, it will be burn.

If you want clear, you can take the old one to the diy shop to make enquiry.
If the value of the old resister and new resister also the same, it will be found that have some problem in you cdp (power supply).

I have try parallel some caps in outup like you say.
they will made the foucs of sound not good.
I really recomment that If you used famous cap e.g Jensen, Mitil cap, Music cap, Ero, audiocap, rel-cap etc. no need to parallel other small caps. (wast money no gain).
If you used solen (lower speed caps) just parallel 0.1uf is very great.

I suggect you replace the two caps behind the tube to Black gate Non polar
e-cap 10uf/50v (red colour). at that time, it must win others much !!!!!!!!!!
Ha Ha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MHZS CD33 sound is better your friends' base no no modification. If their cdp are under HK$5,000.
becuase I have listened the said CDP's  before I brought CD33.
the sound of Your cdp up to now = HK$7,000.00.
If got the opa 627 same of the said photo. the sound = HK$13,000.00's cdp.

It is very easy to mod with opa627.
1. de-solder the OPA2604 from the pcb broad.
2. add IC base or direct to solder the OPA627 set on the PCB broad.

2 is better than 1, but 1 is convience for replace other opa. e.g AD797, OPA134, OPA111 OPA128 etc.

quick quick to modifity it  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If mod, the different is = you buy a cpd for the sum HK$15,000.

I wait hearing from you the result of mod is same as I said.

so the pcb broad is marked 10uf/50v.

SCR solen 70% = Mitil-cap ppfxs
because both material is tin foil.

I try WE396a aldy from my fried. I feel it very warm sound (tube sound) a little bit slow. like a ox wine.

But ,I am like GW5679w Jan more . very clear and detail. Like red wine.
