1. What is your MAX power of the transformer?
2. What is your total value of Capacitor use?
Some comment to your UCD.
1. Try to increase the heatsink.(size)
2. There are no protection circuit found in your machine. If the temperature is rising, the UCD mosfet is very easy to output a DC voltage to KILL your speaker.
3. You better to do :
a) adding a loudspeaker protector,
b) Increase the size of heatsink
c) Using the DC monitor circuit at output, when DC occur (usually over 3V, the power supply latch up and user need to FULLY power off device.) It is build into the rectifier board. Please contact us, we have that board.
4. I cannot found a power on soft mute and power off soft mute circuit inside your board. (we have that board which is combine into the main rectifier)
5. Reduce the total length of your speaker output cable.
I made and teaching over 140 set of UCD180,400 and 700.

KK,
Thanks for your suggestions!
Speaker protector (delay + DC) are employed. The picture was taken before the protector installed. The rails is +/- 38V with 80,000 uF caps per channel. I don't need full power from the modules.作者: kk_ho 時間: 2009-5-18 20:17
Please read this presentation, very useful

Hi KK,
May I know more details about this

Does it suppose to be warm only on this AMP ? Why when temperature high, UCD mosfet output DC ?
Thanks.作者: sjsiubong 時間: 2009-6-6 04:02
My Ucd108 has no speaker protector circuit either.
KK sir, can you post some pictures of the speaker protector and main rectifier board?
Thanks,作者: kk_ho 時間: 2009-6-22 00:46
Bong,
1. You can use typical speaker protector
2. Or using our rectifier board + protector board.
Typical speaker will cut off the speaker output when the output terminal have DC voltage. Typ > 2V.
Our board is cutting the power supply (LATCH), you need to remove the AC source to recover.
