2nd case:
the connector for ribbon cable at pcb board deformed and cause bad connection --> change the connector then ok.
3rd case:
Laser head die --> change laser head --> ok
Disc tray can't move out after press eject:
check the cable connected from pcb board to the CD tray motor, this cable should be soft and move easily if not it will restrict the movement of the tray...(i think to motor power very small so little bit of restriction will block the tray's movement)
i had the problem of spinning in opposite direction previously, after change the connector then ok already.
the original ribbon connector on pcb very loudsy, u just take a look at it, u can replace it using the connector on a damge kss-213s or q also can.
u just plug out the ribbon cable and check whether the center spacing of the connector is straight & even? even a little bit of deformed it will give the problem.
solder out the 16pin cennector a bot cumbersome, and u hardly get this part, easier way to to take it from and used/damge cd pickup...
god bless my player recently don't have eject problem, no disc problem for several months....
I have changed that cable already and I double checked other cables connecting to the CD tray with a multi-meter as well. All cables seem to work fine (of course I have to take them out first). That is why I feel strange about this CD player.
Just wonder whether the SONY CD drive is a poor designed one.
I went back to 深圳 on Monday and talked to the Dealer of MHZS there. He said I can take the Power Supply board back to him and he will take it to the MHZS factory for a checkup FREE of charge.
I will take my friend's board up when I have time to go there again, probably in late Sept.
FOr DAC, I recommend Lite DAC-60, cost only HKD 2,500 but a lot of room for modification. Once modified, it can ko DAC of ten of thousand dollars. ......
I think the price of the DAC-60 is much higher now because of the appreciation of the Chinese YEN.
The last time I went back to ShenZhen, the dealer said RMB $ 2300 or so. And we have to pay RMB $ 120 for shipping down to Hong Kong.
Accphoto, how much did you invest into the DAC-60? I think those on the left are "Airlink" transformers .... we can't find them anymore now .... Too bad.
One day, I will get one and modify it to make a comparison with the CEC DAC. But I think you invested over HK$ 4K into the DAC-60, excluding the original HK$2.5K.
Call 源哥。I can borrow mine to you first for a few days before you make the decision. I do guarantee that there is a significant difference..... ^_^........
This month's budget already exhausted!! Invested over $ 3K for all those cables (tho' it is worthy and a long term investment). I can still borrow the DAC from you but no money left for DIYing.
Don't forget our project, ha...ha... I still have to pay you by the end of this month!
