re : pre amp output delay circuit
Ah Sir,Do you have output delay board in stock?
My speaker will 'pop' if
1) I turn on power amp before pre amp
or
2) I turn off power amp after pre amp
Will the pre amp output delay circuit solve my problem in both cases?
Thx
Derek Hi Derek,
What is the type of your power amp, solid state or tube amp. Solid state power amp will more easy to have "pop" sound, you can check that power amp have speaker protector or not OR consider install a output delay in your pre amp. No matter how you should turn on power amp after turn on pre amp, and should shut down power amp before turn off pre amp.
So normally the procedure should be:
Turn on CD player ---Turn on pre amp --- (wait 30 to 60 sec) Turn on power amp
Shut down power amp --- (unit no sound come out from speaker)Shut down pre amp --- shut down CD player gijoe_22, thank you for your advice!
My power amp is a solid-state one. I know the procedures to turn on the pre amp and power amp but my boss is confused about that.
I learn from the web that the output delay circuit you have included in your super GG can prevent the speaker from 'pop' when power amp is turned on. However, I can't find out from the web whether it can protect the speaker if I turn off power amp after pre amp.
Thx gijoe_22,
By the way, your super GG is really super. Looking forward to listen to it!
Derek
