After that, you can easy to make 1547 and 1541 at your home.

Sure, you need to drill some holes (not more than 10) in HF before you take the KIT to home.

Yes, you can do the TDA1547, 1541 at home sure.
For drilling the alum case, you can mark the basic hole and do it at HF when you take the KIT.

I've listened to Meridian G08.2 in Central Hifi Galaxy. The New 8.2 has stunning details while maintains suitable bodyline texture of instrunments. Bass and high frequency extremes are widely extended. I think I have to try hard on the DAC1955/CDPRO2 combo to beat this newly release machine on both musicality and fidelity.

You can trust the USB CODEC as a speaker.
The player is the PC, you need to install the SW which can playback the APE file.
All of the sound information will be pass through to USB codec.
When you plug the USB CODEC into the PC, your sound device (sound card / onboard sound) will be disable.
The USB codec will transform the USB audio steam into IIS signal.

Personally, I think the course is running a bit too fast. And the course material is not detailed enough. I just cannot absorb all the materials just seeing your Power Point flashing on the screen. It'd be better if you can do it a bit slower. Would you please email us the notes before the class or delivery the hardcopy to us during the class, and it will make life easier. Thanks.

If I use blackgate STD cap on the above slot, the voltage of cap in blackgate STD cap stock list is only 16V, if I use the following STD cap on power filtering slot, 16V voltage enough?
1) 4700uf,16V x 2
2) 3300uf,16v x 3
3) 2200uf,16v x 1
In additon, if I use (Blackgate FK) 100uf,16V x 8 in the PCB slot, is 16V enough?

Good to know that there will be a special class for pure DAC Theory this week. I would like to learn more materials on the topology behind good DAC design instead of practical soldering and assembly skills. Please kindly inform me the time and date when it is fixed.
Regarding the teaching materials, I think it will be great if you can follow closely on the materials as listed inside the course outline. Maybe I am lost as no course notes will be delivered, it seems to me that the following parts have been skipped.

Regarding the 5 blocks you mentioned so far, DIR, Digital Filter, DAC, LPF and Output buffer. May I ask why we need a LPF? What make a good LPF? What is the purpose of an Output buffer? Why not output the signal directly to next stage?
