u seen to be using imagx AMP, well ! i have change M-cap silver for amp, the sound is great also the price is resonable !

The price is good and if you visit regularly, they give you discounts as well. I got many of my stuffs there too.
Wing X at SSP is famous for HIGH PRICE. Even if you buy > $ 3K, they won't give you 5% discount!!
CAT if your cap at signal part and the voltage <300v, u may consider Vcap teflon 0.47/300v ~usd100/Pcs. I will say it is a better cap than jensen and the price different not so large...
recently just install some V cap OIMP for my friend in his 1SC clone speaker... fantastic... I just changed some of the stuffs in my 1sc clone too ... but I am not that rich ... just swapped some Auricap in to replace the Chinese BENNIC. Just check today, $ 285 per pcbefore discount for 0.47 630V.

if u r not planning to change the speaker then better change it to very good cap pieces by piece.
in 1st clone got 3.3, 4.7 & 5 (some use 6.8), the price to but auricap 3.3+4.7 shld be able to buy a 3.3 V cap oimp right?
My friend initially is using solen cap...now change to OIMP, a lot of diferences. how abt Obligato cap heard the sound not bad ... quite warm sounding but myself i prefer Mundorf silver oil :)

Well, I can't say for sure I won't change my speakers. And, I have to balance my budget with the performance.
For Amp / Pre-amp., I would prefer Jensen as they give good value for money. For not so critical ones, I will use Auricap.
I know VCap is good and so is Audio Note. They are out for reach for me, ha..ha..
CAT agree with accphoto, AN oil cap seems had that problem, not so reliable...
for the sound i feel it is better than mundoft silver oil...
if u can afford AN then just go a bit more for the V cap lah....

i didn't do much on DIY, only help friends to assembly a DAC, the 1541A look similar as sold in hififever but the power supply is better (consist of a lot philips cap)
recently start to DIY a AN M7 for friend.
Since you just assemble and sell then can use cost effective cap like auricap....if u got chance u must try listen to Vcap, for speaker Vcap OIMP will do (warm, very good bass, depth & musical)....

It is always nice to have kids around. When she gets to around 2 years old, that is the most wonderful period. She will be walking around here and there, doing things you would never have imagined and talking and talking and talking .... ha..ha.
I am far from being an expert. Still knows only a little bit on electronics theory and alike. Still can't read schematics without trouble. I would say Accphoto is at least 10 times better than I am.
Well, cats are always curious. I will try VCap later on when I got more money. As I don't sell my projects for a profit, I need to save up .. ha..ha
Oh, you are working on an AN M7? That is good, tell me how you feel about it. I have thought of making one too; just this one and the Marantz 7. My colleague suggested me the Marantz 7, so I went ahead with it in the past.

i had actually made 1 AN7 (semi con diode rectifier) but use as tube buffer, since my friend like it so now made anotehr 1 using better component and with tube rectifier.....

For the power supply, the LCLCor crc filter what will be the differences if use more capacitor

any differences? Unless you are using tube rectifier, then the first stage of the LCL should not be greater than 100U, otherwise , I normally using the same figure for the LCL filter. By change the UF certainly affect the sound. Normally , in High voltage situation, the capacitor should not be to great like 500U, it will slow down the sound I do not know what is your application but i normally use 47U in LCL filter in pre-amp operation. For power amp, I will using 100U in the LCL filter. After boiling the amp , (通透) of the sond has a great improvement. nice ...
the 2nd diy project is power cord. i want to ask that what is the perfect lenght of power cord .....(4M,5M,6M)? different lenght has different effect? Power cord 4-6feet is ok, not too short. 請問原本電 容值 是0.47uf630v現在改為0.47uf1200v當中電流電阻有什麼改變,聽說這樣會影響音質?
thanks No need to change any resistor but you need more time to run-in as capacitor with higher voltage need more time to run in. I suggest you to go back 630V. i see
